Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to oversee the operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems while supporting the Chief Engineer. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, trade-school or equivalent, EPA certification and strong safety and customer-service skills.

On-site Monday–Friday with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school, union training or college desirable.
• Universal EPA certification or plan to achieve within first year with JLL assistance.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Assist Chief Engineer with directing the team as needed.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Maintain the work order system (CMMS) and respond to tenant service requests.
• Support on-call or emergency response and ensure safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
