Job summary

JLL in Carson, CA is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. This on-site role requires weekend shifts and on-call rotation, with on-site presence.

You will perform preventive maintenance, maintain CMMS, troubleshoot building systems, and ensure safety. Requires 3+ years in repair/maintenance, EPA certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks such as painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks.
Support on-call or emergency response situations.
Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
Comply with safety procedures.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs.
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
