Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Banquet Captain to oversee banquet events, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth operations, and high team performance. This on-site role serves as the primary client contact and leads the banquet staff before, during, and after events.

Responsibilities include reviewing BEOs with senior staff, conducting pre-event inspections, meeting clients, guiding the pre-shift lineup, supervising servers, addressing guest needs, and delivering detailed closing reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or banquet service preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and guest-service orientation.
• Ability to coordinate multiple events and teams.

Responsibilities

• Review Banquet Event Orders with Executive Chef and Banquet Manager before each event.
• Perform pre-event inspections of function space for cleanliness and setup.
• Meet with clients to confirm itinerary and last-minute changes.
• Lead pre-shift lineup and communicate service expectations to staff.
• Supervise banquet servers during the event to ensure quality service.
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain a visible presence throughout events.
• Monitor food presentation and adherence to event specifications.
• Enforce responsible alcohol service per company policy.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Complete event closing duties and Captain’s Reports with client feedback.
• Ensure staff complete side-work and signing-out procedures.
