Job summary

Encore Global in Sacramento is seeking a Technical Lead to set up and operate AV systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring guest satisfaction. You will report to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and collaborate with hotel staff and clients to ensure smooth events.

The role requires 2–3+ years in AV and hospitality, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This on-site, part-time position offers hands-on technical responsibilities with

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience.
• 2-3+ years of audio-visual experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members in positions that may operate Company vehicles.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position, within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program in their current position.
• Additional DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate AV equipment; troubleshoot issues; ensure security and safety.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service, lead and coach other technicians, maintain client relationships, and verify on-site equipment works.
• Technical Ability: Understand and troubleshoot equipment and software issues; anticipate challenges.
• Systems Knowledge: Follow processes, record accurate paperwork, coordinate with staff and vendors, and support invoicing when needed.
