Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to provide on-site automation support on a 2-2-3 shift (6:00 AM–6:00 PM). You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI, lead control projects, and mentor technicians across a high-speed beverage manufacturing facility.

The role requires an Associate degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of automation experience, with relocation assistance available and a 20% target bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation and controls, or related field.
• At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Excellent communication across plant departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
• Maintain backups, drawings, and change records.
• Support equipment commissioning and new installations.
