Job summary

Jobot is seeking an On-Site Assistant Project Manager to support a major field-based construction project in the Boston metro area. Based on-site, you will assist the Project Manager, coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients, and help keep the project on schedule and within budget.

This role offers exposure to budgeting, procurement, change orders, and documentation from preconstruction through closeout.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in construction management or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

• Support the Project Manager and project team in the successful execution of a field‑based construction project.
• Assist with project documentation, contract administration, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
• Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and clients to maintain project progress.
• Track project schedules, procurement activities, and material deliveries to support field operations.
• Assist in reviewing subcontractor proposals, change orders, and cost reports.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate follow‑up action items to stakeholders.
• Monitor project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and contract requirements.
• Support quality control efforts, project closeout activities, punch list management, and turnover documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting for both internal and external teams.
• Help identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining project schedules and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in construction management, project engineering, assistant project management, or related construction roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction project management.
• Ability to work effectively in a field‑based environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Background

• Internship or professional experience with a general contractor, construction manager, developer, or owner's representative.
• Exposure to higher education, healthcare, life sciences, multifamily, hospitality, or commercial construction projects.
• Experience supporting field operations on large‑scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced project environment.
