Job summary

Greystar seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards across buildings, grounds, and amenities.

You will diagnose and repair issues, complete make-readies for new residents, manage inventory and supplies, document work orders, and support preventive maintenance while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
• Certifications required by State and Local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance on the property per established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work.
• Manages materials, supplies, and inventory; returns unused items and notifies supervisor for re-ordering.
• Documents service requests promptly and accurately for tracking and record-keeping.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities including cleaning, painting curbs, and pressure-washing as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing parts rather than replacing them when possible.
