Job summary

Jobot is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a New Mexico construction and services company in Albuquerque. This hands-on AP role supports a busy accounting team and reports directly to the Controller. You will process vendor invoices, code to jobs and accounts, and use QuickBooks Online.

Prior AP experience and accuracy are required; construction or job-cost knowledge is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay of $24-27 per hour, contract-to-hire options,

Qualifications

• Prior accounts payable experience
• Experience processing invoices in a fast-paced environment
• QuickBooks Online experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple invoices and priorities
• Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal departments
• Construction accounting or job-costing experience is a plus
• No specific degree or certification required

Responsibilities

• Process approximately 100 vendor invoices per week
• Review invoices for accuracy, coding and appropriate approvals
• Enter and maintain AP transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Code expenses to the appropriate accounts, jobs and cost categories
• Assist with vendor account maintenance and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items
• Maintain organized AP documentation and supporting records
• Communicate with vendors and internal team members regarding invoices and payments; support the Controller and accounting team with additional AP and accounting needs
