Job summary

KRG Partners seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to lead AP and purchasing card functions for a multi-site property and asset management company. This on-site role manages a four-person team and drives the full procure-to-pay cycle across 400+ entities in Lawrenceville, GA.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on accounting expertise with strong controls, cross-entity discipline, and advanced Excel skills to optimize processes and close schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years supervising staff.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, including entity-level coding, intercompany activity, and multi-entity 1099 reporting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP accruals, cutoff, and account reconciliation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables, Power Query, and building reconciliation templates for large data sets.
• Strong understanding of AP internal controls, segregation of duties, and payment fraud prevention.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop four AP team members; set daily priorities, workload assignments, and performance goals.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support hiring and onboarding.
• Build cross-training and backup coverage so that no critical task depends on one person.
• Own the end-to-end invoice process in DocuWare, including capture, indexing, coding, approval routing, and archiving.
• Prepare and review payment runs (ACH, check, and wire) for approval, ensuring correct entity and optimal terms.
• Administer the P-card program, including cardholder setup, spending limits, and policy acknowledgments.
• Complete AP close tasks on the close calendar and reconcile AP subledger to GL by entity.
• Maintain vendor master data integrity and support annual 1099 reporting.
• Build and maintain Excel-based reporting, SOPs, and KPIs; drive automation in DocuWare and BILL Spend & Expense.
• Lead or co-lead AP system implementation projects and ensure go-live readiness.
