Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Affordable Housing Assistant Community Manager in Belmont, CA. You will support the Community Manager in daily operations, oversee staff, and help optimize rent collection and financial performance for the property.

The role emphasizes compliance with Fair Housing laws, timely reporting, and exceptional resident service. Required is a High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred or related housing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under supervision of the Community Manager.
• Assist in delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow.
• Supervise staff and ensure compliance with company policies, safety and fair housing guidelines.
• Post payments and income accurately; process and reconcile account receivables.
• Maintain records, conduct unit walks, and support leasing and marketing efforts.
