Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Affordable Housing Assistant Community Manager to oversee the daily on-site operations and financial functions of an affordable housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will be responsible for delinquency management, rent collection, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with fair housing guidelines while supervising on-site staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs.
• Affordable Housing Accreditation or other applicable designations are preferred but not required.
• Responsible for posting all payments and income received from applicants, current residents, and non-current residents accurately and timely.
• Responsible for processing and reconciling daily all account receivables.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt and evictions processes.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities when applicable.
• Conduct end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move-out charges and security deposits refunds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site staff to ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines.
• Lead strategic leasing management and implement annual marketing plans.
• Handle resident inquiries, complaints, and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and implement resident retention programs and marketing strategies.
• Ensure timely leasing, showings, and move-ins with accurate documentation.
• Plan for and utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically.
• Maintain property appearance and coordinate maintenance and safety standards.
