Job summary

Asset Living is hiring a Community Manager to oversee all operations of a housing community on-site under Regional Manager supervision. You will manage personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration, and risk management to ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership, hands-on supervision of staff, budget development, marketing and resident relations, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with affordable housing programs, including but not limited to: LIHTC, HUD (Project Based Section 8, Section 236, PRAC, 811 PRA, USDA - Rural Development (515), HCD, HOME Funds and Bonds)
• Affordable Housing Accreditation (HCCP, HCP-E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO) or other applicable designations in affordable programs is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management: supervise on-site staff and coordinate schedules; ensure staff training and performance.
• Financial management: develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and monitor deposits, rent collections, and charges.
• Strategic leasing: develop yearly marketing plans and implement leasing strategies.
• Administrative & maintenance management: ensure accurate reporting and oversee maintenance, repairs, and emergency response.
• Maintain property appearance and code compliance; lead emergency team to minimize liability.
