Job summary

Tyler Pipe Company in Tyler, TX is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support daily financial operations. You will process customer payments, post invoices, monitor balances, and assist with collections in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

This role offers a salary of $55,000–$60,000 per year, is non-exempt, and works 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, 100% on-site. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Shipping and Accounting to ensure accurate cash applications and month-end

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, or customer account management experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP system strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply customer payments accurately through multiple methods.
• Maintain and post invoices, credit memos, and adjustments.
• Monitor aging and reconcile accounts; resolve unapplied cash issues.
• Communicate payment statuses and resolve discrepancies with customers.
• Assist month-end close and prepare daily cash reports.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Shipping, and Accounting.
• Maintain AR files and support process improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions.
• Manage high volume of accounts and meet deadlines.
• Assist with credit file maintenance and new account setup.
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
