Job summary

Clampco is seeking an Accountant in Wadsworth, OH to support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. You will collaborate with the Controller and finance staff to streamline procedures and maintain GAAP compliance.

You will support the ERP system, maintain records, analyze variances, and contribute to process improvements that boost accuracy, efficiency, and the overall effectiveness of the finance department.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Through understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of accounting tasks including preparing and maintaining accounting records and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports.
• Assists in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting structures.
• Complete journal entries/account reconciliations and general ledger adjustments.
• Support Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Assist in analyzing Profit & Loss variances and provide explanations.
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing standard costing variances (labor, material, and overhead).
• Assist in reviewing variances prior to work order closure and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare and maintain 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Support system and process improvements within the finance function.
• Audit accounting records and other reports for accuracy and conformance to procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO to support departmental and organizational objectives.
