Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team in Blue Ash, OH. The role reports to the Director of Financial Shared Services and supports daily accounting activities, the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and related initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 6–8+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with a large ERP system (JD Edwards or Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with a large ERP system required (JD Edwards or Oracle preferred).
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Active CPA license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial transactions and reporting.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and meet deadlines.
• Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with consolidation of month-end financial results.
• Support intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting including book and tax reporting.
• Assist with compensation, benefits, accruals, and related accounting activities.
• Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting packages.
• Partner with accounting, FP&A, and operations teams to analyze financial information.
• Support external audits and prepare schedules for reviews and audits.
• Assist with SOX compliance and remediation of gaps.
• Monitor and resolve finance-related ERP issues.
• Assist with SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K) as needed.
