Job summary

Tempo/US-EcoLogic Accounting Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely close processes, and supporting financial reporting. You will supervise accounting staff, review transactions, and drive process improvements in GAAP compliance.

The role partners with the Controller to ensure accurate reporting, coordinates with tax authorities, and leads ad hoc reporting and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• 3+ years of supervision experience.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Working knowledge of ERP and general ledger systems.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced MS Office skills with Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll support, cash receipts, GL.
• Review and approve recurring journal entries, accruals, allocations, and supporting docs.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor variances and coordinate state sales tax filings.
• Manage month-end and year-end close calendars and activities.
• Perform account fluctuation and trend analysis for monthly reporting.
• Prepare and deliver customized financial reports as needed and support cross-functional initiatives.
