Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a CNC Operator III- 2nd Shift for the Fullerton, CA site. The role involves setup, operation and troubleshooting of CNC machine tools, reading blueprints, and ensuring first article verification per program and tolerances.

The candidate will run and monitor production, maintain tool life, perform preventive maintenance, and document setups and checks. On-site location; competitive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years related experience in machine shop operation with CNC equipment.
• Able to read/interpret part drawings and use quality tools (calipers, mics, comparators).
• Ability to read manufacturer drawings and understand instructions.
• Ability to perform unit conversions and basic math for tolerances.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Selects and sets proper tooling per the program.
• Performs setup, loads programs and verifies first article samples.
• Runs, monitors and troubleshoots CNC equipment in production.
• Reads blueprints and uses micrometers, calipers and gauges as needed.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and documents setups and checks.
