Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run CNC drilling machines, read blueprints, and inspect parts against specifications. The role requires basic shop math, ability to interpret drawings, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The position is on-site with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits. Experience with tooling, offsets, and SPC is a plus; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years operating machinery or CNC Certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions in English.
• Basic shop math skills, including algebra; SPC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce parts per drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints and use precision instruments for inspections.
• Perform tooling, fixtures, offsets, and speeds/feeds setups.
• Maintain tooling and gauges; perform maintenance and 5S activities.
• Stage materials and communicate issues to Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Follow safety policies and ensure safe work environment.
