Job summary

UPS is seeking a supervisor in Myrtle Beach, SC to oversee on-road service providers, drive performance, and uphold safety and environmental standards. The role requires DOT certification and UPS package car driving experience to develop and maintain effective operations with hourly staff.

The incumbent will lead dispatch activities, manage risk, and foster a customer-focused environment while maintaining cost controls and strong relationships with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
• Must be located in/relocate to the job location.
• Must have UPS Package car driving experience; DOT certified.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs/32 kgs and work flexible shifts (up to 5 days).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manages and works with on-road employees to maximize efficiency and ensure safe, timely, and professional deliveries.
• Maintains operational performance by developing and implementing work processes and monitoring costs to budget.
• Applies policies and procedures to operations and business situations.
• Supports development and implementation of work plans to maximize center proficiency.
• Ensures health and safety plans are implemented and maintained.
• Conducts safety audits and risk management activities.
• Coaches and develops staff through performance management and training.
• Provides feedback and supports a collaborative work environment.
