Job summary

United Parcel Service (UPS) is seeking a capable Center Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, safety processes, KPIs, and HR updates within the Virginia-based center. The role includes supervising on-road and dispatch activities, coaching staff, and coordinating multiple internal teams to ensure service excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, MS Office and UPS system expertise, DOT medical card, and on-road experience.

Qualifications

Must have excellent communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and UPS software/systems (Time and Labor, DCS, ODSe, GTS, Workday).
On Road experience and PDS skills including DPS, DMS, Dispatch Principles.
DOT Medical Card preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs KPI analysis for high-gain employees.
Provides daily performance recap for manager expectations.
Oversees part-time center supervisors and ensures daily tasks and training are completed.
Reviews and updates the customer experience dashboard and onboards new customers.
Performs dispatch planning and daily RTW reviews.
Manages on-road dispatch and adjusts service provider load as needed.
Coordinates vehicle lineup with dispatch and wash groups.
Prepares discipline and grievances related to service providers.
Monitors safety dashboards and compliance components.
Covers Business Manager responsibilities when necessary.
