Job summary

UPS is seeking a supervisor to oversee daily performance of service providers, ensuring quality service and safety compliance. You will support cost reductions, improve efficiency, and maintain strong customer relationships while guiding the dispatch plan and center operations.

The role involves supervising others, reviewing work processes, and driving opportunities to enhance day-to-day proficiency and service delivery across the operation.

Qualifications

• Meets local age and license requirements.
• Availability to work flexible hours.
• Assesses Business Needs: Demonstrates a general understanding of identifying and measuring the current needs of the customer or business.
• Health and Safety Knowledge: Demonstrates basic knowledge of injury and crash prevention techniques; identifies root causes of injuries and unsafe conditions.
• Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Knowledge: Understands compliance functions and procedures; supports risk-reduction programs.
• Small Package Operations Knowledge: Understands processes and tools used in small package operations.

Responsibilities

• Completes administrative tasks (performance reviews, accident reports, service failures, training) to facilitate dispatch planning.
• Completes required audits during on-job supervision rides to ensure adherence to UPS policies and procedures.
• Uses Orion, PAS, Telematics and related tech to find performance improvements and mitigate risk.
• Communicates with customers to respond to service concerns, build relationships, and determine solutions meeting business goals.
• Uncovers business opportunities and forwards them to the appropriate department for follow up.
• Encourages service providers to identify and forward volume development opportunities to management.
• Creates a customer-focused work environment emphasizing service and business growth.
• Communicates customers' business needs to employees to clarify job responsibilities and impact on customers.
