Job summary

UPS is seeking a supervisor to oversee daily performance of service providers, ensuring quality, safety, and timely package delivery. The role involves supervising staff, driving efficiency, and implementing work plans to maximize center proficiency and cost savings.

You will analyze process data (volume per hour, miles driven, hours worked) to identify improvement opportunities and partner with dispatch, center management, and business development to realize those gains.

• Assesses Business Needs: identifies and measures customer/business needs to define project requirements.
• Health and Safety Knowledge: basic injury/crash prevention techniques and safe working conditions.
• Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Knowledge: understands compliance functions and reduces risk.
• Small Package Operations Knowledge: knows processes and tools used in small package operations.

Responsibilities

• Completes administrative tasks (performance reviews, accident reports, service failures, training) to support dispatch plan.
• Completes required audits during supervision rides to ensure adherence to UPS policies.
• Uses Orion, PAS, Telematics to identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Communicates with customers to respond to service concerns and build relationships.
• Uncovers business opportunities and forwards to responsible department for follow up.
• Encourages service providers to identify and forward volume development opportunities to management.
• Creates a customer-focused work environment emphasizing service and business growth.
• Communicates customers' business needs to employees to clarify job responsibilities and impact.
