Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive volume and distribution for our spirits portfolio. You will partner with on-premise venues and distributors to expand our brands in your territory and connect consumers with exciting products.

In this role, you will craft growth plans, educate customers on trends, and lead programs that boost SKU visibility, merchandising, and promotions. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required, with travel within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the alcohol-beverage or CPG industries; on-premise experience preferred.
• New graduates require a sales/marketing internship or part-time sales role, or sales competition experience.
• Proven ability to deliver volume objectives and new PODs, well placements, events, promotions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Craft solutions to boost growth for assigned accounts and increase market share for Sazerac brands.
• Build brands by educating customers using consumer and category trends.
• Lead distributors to support in-outlet selling and execution.
• Help achieve volume objectives for a diverse portfolio.
• Plan and execute strategic programs for distribution, merchandising, display, and promotions.
• Develop mutually valuable rapport with customers by understanding needs and requirements.
• Serve as the communication lead between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure goals are met.
