Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Excellence Engineer to deploy and sustain the enterprise framework at a Danbury, CT facility. You’ll lead Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events, drive Lean and Six Sigma projects, and coach site personnel on daily improvement practices on the production floor.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing/continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and hands-on ability to translate strategy into results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt preferred.
• Hands-on experience planning and facilitating Kaizen/RIE events.
• Strong knowledge of core Lean tools and production-floor application.
• Bachelors in IE/ME or related field, or equivalent hands-on exp.
• Comfortable working directly on the production floor with hourly teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the enterprise Manufacturing Excellence framework at site level using standard work and maturity models.
• Support leadership during maturity assessments and audits with current standard work.
• Maintain site-level Manufacturing Excellence metrics and report progress.
• Serve as primary liaison between site and enterprise organization for deployment lessons.
• Plan, facilitate and close out Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events.
• Lead DMAIC projects addressing quality, cost and delivery gaps with rigor.
• Apply Lean tools (5S, VSM, standard work, visual management, SMED, poka‑yoke).
• Coach site supervisors and hourly teams to build local capability.
• Support smart factory pilots and feedback on technology deployments.
• Provide structured problem-solving support (8D) for critical issues.
