Job summary

MITER Brands is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety initiatives at our Hegins, PA facility supporting 600+ employees. You will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to protect workers, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.

Expect to spend about 70% of time on the manufacturing floor and 30% on reporting, analytics, and administration, coordinating with leaders to proactively

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience leading a comprehensive EHS program within a manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe working conditions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements through audits, inspections, reporting, and corrective action plans.
• Lead incident investigations and oversee workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Lead and facilitate an engaged and effective Employee Safety Committee.
• Conduct facility inspections and audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
