Job summary

Milgard Windows & Doors is part of MITER Brands, a leading manufacturing group for windows and doors in the U.S. This Health, Safety & Security Generalist role supports the campus-wide HS&S initiatives, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities with ~700 team members.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor engagement (about 70% on the manufacturing floor) and close collaboration with operations leadership to embed a proactive safety culture and effective training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety or related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience supporting HS&S programs in manufacturing.
• Experience with OSHA standards and incident investigations preferred.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer HS&S programs on a multi-building manufacturing campus.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate training programs (New Hire Orientation, Forklift, First Aid/CPR/AED, Fall Protection, LOTO).
• Support workers' compensation and return-to-work processes.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and engage employees on the floor.
