Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Manchester, Pennsylvania, seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead on-site EHS programs on the plant floor. This hands-on role focuses on environmental compliance, safety, new equipment, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Experience in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, or similar process manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• Experience with incident investigation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and company EHS requirements.
• Drive environmental programs including waste management, emissions, stormwater, chemical handling, and hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
• Support environmental inspections, permits, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance on EHS requirements for new equipment, installations, and process changes.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA logs, EHS documentation, compliance records, and safety metrics.
• Deliver and reinforce training in Lockout/Tagout, PPE, hazard communication, machine guarding, ergonomics, and emergency response.
• Identify and reduce risks associated with plastics processing equipment, robotics and automation, compressed air systems, material handling, resins, and other manufacturing processes.
• Support emergency preparedness, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, spill response, drills, and medical emergency coordination.
• Build employee engagement and accountability around EHS through strong plant‑floor presence and partnership with leadership.
