Albertsons Companies seeks a Person In Charge (PIC) to serve Safeway customers, supervise the store in the absence of the Store Manager, and manage cash handling. The role involves supervising staff, handling emergencies, and ensuring exceptional customer service, with occasional duties across departments.

The PIC will operate a cash register, assist customers, and may perform closing tasks. Prior customer service experience and the ability to follow procedures are desirable requirements for

Qualifications

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures. Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of all positions within the store.
• Ability to work independently.
• Desired: Prior experience as a clerk or manager.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within policy.
• Handle emergencies, customer complaints, and supervise store personnel.
• Maintain familiarity with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise the sales floor, monitor service and stock replenishment.
• Replenish stock in displays near checkout and assist with store cleanliness.
• Assist other cashiers with register problems and basic office tasks.
• Operate the cash register to total customers' final bill and handle payments.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with carry out when needed.
• May perform close of day tasks and count tills when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
