ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile scheduling app. We require your active engagement in picking up and working shifts and responding to our contact attempts. Regular attendance and active participation (minimum of four hours every 4 weeks, or 5 months after December 2024) are necessary to maintain employment. If unresponsive to contact attempts or inactive for over 6 months, employment may be terminated.

Participation involves attending a Target Welcome orientation, completing a short-term training schedule, and then using the myTime app to select shifts.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations through interaction and recovery. They promote in-store and digital services, ensuring quick, easy, and exceptional shopping experiences.

Skills gained include communication, problem solving, adapting to different guest needs, promoting store benefits, and assisting with digital tools and services.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Prioritizing guest service and delivering standards
  • Greeting guests and understanding their needs
  • Using body language and verbal cues to assist guests
  • Engaging and asking questions to understand guest needs
  • Being knowledgeable about products, services, and store tools
  • Scanning, bagging, and minimizing wait times
  • Promoting loyalty programs and digital features
  • Handling returns, de-escalating issues, and supporting various guest services
  • Maintaining a clean work area and supporting safety and compliance
  • Supporting cash and inventory processes
  • Performing other duties based on business needs

What we are looking for:

  • Enjoy working in a fun, energetic environment and delivering excellent service
  • Enjoy interacting with people and making shopping easier
  • Preferably not seeking a traditional 9-5 office job; flexibility and responsiveness are key

Skills from the start include effective communication, focus, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to operate technology and work independently or as part of a team.

Additional requirements include handling cash, lifting merchandise (up to 44 pounds), flexible scheduling, and working in varying environments.
