Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support for enterprise clients in Quincy, California. This contract-based, dispatch/part-time role requires hands-on experience with Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity at client sites.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, hardware installation, basic LAN troubleshooting, and documenting service activities for the Service Delivery Team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in onsite support environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
