Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents who, as a married couple, will reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. The role combines daily mentorship with overseeing household routines, nutrition, and wellness.

Couples work a nine-day on, three-day off schedule, with progression to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, relocation assistance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples; at least two years married.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
