Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding a group of 8–13 students to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, household routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, and leading devotions. The role begins with a 9-on/3-off cycle and can transition to a placed houseparent with a stable group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role, married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
