Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks a Full-time Flex Houseparent couple. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, guidance, and support for 8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role begins with a nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, then progresses to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include housing, meals, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Must be a legally married couple for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
