Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples for Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and supervise a group of 8-13 students. The role combines care, guidance, and structured, family-like living to support academic, emotional, and social development.

Residents share a nine-day on, three-day off schedule, with transition to a placed houseparent role over time. Benefits include housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol prohibited on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
