Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician in Los Angeles. Under supervision of a nurse or physician, you will scrub for procedures, maintain a sterile field, and efficiently pass instruments to surgeons.

Responsibilities include patient safety, room setup, instrument processing, and collaboration with the care team. On-call shifts and varying days may apply, with adherence to all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Two years within the last three years operating room scrubbing experience or equivalent military experience.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• Certificate requirements: NCCT Technologist in Surgery or NBSTSA Surgical Technologist; BLS.
• Full command of English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.
• Maintain sterile field and organize room and instruments.
• Handle instrument passing, tissue samples, and room setup per protocol.
• Follow policies, procedures, and standards; communicate via chain of command.
