Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to assist physicians during surgical procedures under supervision, performing scrub duties and ensuring sterile technique and patient safety. The role requires prior OR scrubbing experience and graduation from an approved surgical technologist program, plus BLS certification.

The technician will support the RN and physician, prepare the room, set up instruments, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years of OR scrubbing experience in the last three years.
• Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program.
• BLS certification and professional licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.
• Sets up and prepares room with instruments and supplies.
• Transports and handles specimens and equipment per protocol.
• Maintains sterile technique and high standards of patient safety.
• Communicates effectively with the team and reports unusual findings.
