Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Bakersfield is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to assist surgeons during procedures, perform scrub duties, and ensure instrument availability and sterility in the operating room. Qualifications

• Two years within the last three years operating room scrubbing or equivalent experience.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• NCCT Technologist in Surgery or NBSTA Surgical Technologist certification, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during surgical procedures by scrubbing and passing instruments.
• Sets up room, ensures equipment/instruments are sterilized, and organized for procedures.
• Transports patients and specimens and maintains patient safety and confidentiality.
