Job summary

The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) and Carolina Preparatory Academy are seeking flexible substitute nurses to join our on-call list to provide coverage when school nurses are absent. We serve students from infant age through grade 12 across our Raleigh and Durham campuses.

As a substitute nurse, you will cover Health Office duties in person, support emergencies, monitor communications, administer medications, and document care using Magnus Health, while collaborating with school leadership

Qualifications

• Must have active North Carolina Registered Nurse license.

Responsibilities

• Provide health office coverage when nurses are absent.
• Provide on-site emergency and general care to employees and students (ages 6 weeks to 18 years).
• Monitor a two-way radio at all times and respond to all transmissions applicable to the health office.
• Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications to students per policy.
• Chart care provided/medication administered in Magnus Health system.
• Communicate illnesses, injuries, care provided, etc. with parents and faculty/staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Auxiliary Programs, Chief Financial & Operations Officer and Head of School.
