Job summary

Ohana Child Development Center in Raleigh, NC is seeking Substitute Teachers for part-time work to cover for teachers as needed (10 to 30 hours per month). Potential for advancement to a full-time teaching position.

You will care for children aged 4 months to 5 years using Montessori and RIE practices, follow licensing guidelines, maintain a safe, clean classroom, and communicate with families and co-teachers. Training and background checks are provided by Ohana.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn Montessori/RIE practices.
• Pass a criminal background check and licensing trainings.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical care of children using Montessori/RIE techniques.
• Adapt to changing environments and implement actions based on feedback.
• Ensure daily care and safety following licensing guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Communicate important information to co-teachers and families.
• Available on call with last-minute scheduling.
