Job summary

Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Substitute School Nurse to support the Health Office on an as-needed basis. The role covers health services, screenings, medication administration, and emergency care in a school setting and weeks will vary.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with MA RN license, BLS CPR/AED, and prior school-based nursing experience is preferred. The position is part-time with daily rate of $175 and training provided.

Qualifications

• BSN required with MA RN license.
• BLS CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in a school-based, pediatric setting preferred.
• SNAP EMR experience preferred; AMSA uses SNAP and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Cover Health Office on an as-needed basis when nurses are absent.
• Assist with health screenings and other nurse activities.
• Administer daily, PRN, and OTC medications.
• Provide emergency and non-emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents regarding student health needs.
• Maintain confidential student health records.
