Job summary

Ohana Child Development Center at Bandwidth Raleigh, NC, seeks Substitute Teachers for part-time work (10–30 hours/month). The center serves Bandwidth families and follows Montessori/RIE methods for children aged 4 months to 5 years. On-site position with potential for advancement to full time.

Responsibilities include hands-on care, adhering to licensing guidelines, and collaboration with co-teachers and families. Training and background checks provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to learn Montessori/RIE practices.
• Ohana will provide required trainings and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for children, including diapering and hygiene using Montessori/RIE methods.
• Adapt to changing environments and accept feedback.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Communicate with families and co-teachers about children and classroom needs.
• Ensure supervision and safety at all times.
• Participate in required trainings and certifications.
• Be available on call and for last-minute scheduling.
