Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking a Substitute Custodian to perform custodial work in and around school facilities, keeping spaces clean, safe and ready for learning. The role reports to a Building Administrator or Custodial Supervisor and may involve varied shift times throughout the year.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, office/classroom cleaning and light maintenance such as bulb replacement.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with reading, writing and communication skills
• Two years verifiable paid commercial building custodial experience preferred
• One year of public school experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub floors and clean furniture, windows, carpets and fixtures
• Disinfect restrooms and maintain supplies
• Clean assigned offices and classrooms
• Move furniture and arrange for events
• Collect and dispose of garbage and recyclables; shovel snow and maintain grounds
• Perform minor maintenance (unclog sinks, replace bulbs) and report issues
• Secure building by inspecting exterior, locking doors, and setting alarms
• Assist staff and community groups
• Perform other duties as required by facilities leadership
