Job summary

LifeMoves | First Step for Families provides interim housing in San Mateo for 36 family units. Clients receive holistic services tailored to each household’s needs, including meals, laundry, case management, and therapy to support self-sufficiency and housing stability.

The Residential Service Coordinator helps keep the site safe and welcoming, responds to client needs, supports volunteers and visitors, and coordinates daily tasks, documenting activities and ensuring ethical, confidential care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2–3 years of related experience may substitute.
• Proficient with basic technology: email, phone, Microsoft and Google Suites.
• DEIB and respectful engagement with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide calm, supportive crisis response and connect clients to appropriate resources as needed
• Respond to client, volunteer, donor, and visitor needs with radical hospitality, professionalism, and compassion
• Monitor site safety through regular rounds and camera observation; report maintenance or pest issues promptly; support pest control efforts
• Manage facility meals, supplies, and donations; ensure proper inventory and organized storage
• Support team collaboration by creating reports, updating shift logs and participating in meetings
• Maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, boundaries, and professionalism while fostering a supportive environment for all
