Job summary

LifeMoves is hiring a Montgomery Street Inn Residential Service Coordinator in San Jose for a temporary assignment from August 3, 2026, to September 30, 2026. The role supports housing programs, coordinates daily operations, and ensures a safe, welcoming environment for clients, volunteers, and staff.

Reporting to the Operations & Services Manager, you will handle crisis response, site safety checks, room preparation, and documentation while fostering empathy and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-3 years related experience may substitute.
• Comfort with basic technology including email, MS and Google Suites, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide calm, supportive crisis response and connect clients to resources.
• Assist clients, volunteers, donors, and visitors with radical hospitality and compassion.
• Monitor site safety with rounds and cameras; report issues promptly.
• Manage meals, supplies, and donations; maintain storage.
• Create reports, update shift logs, participate in meetings.
• Uphold confidentiality, boundaries, and professionalism.
• Coordinate welcomes, move-ins/outs with documentation and space prep.
