Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. The role includes handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and the make-ready process for vacant units.

Responsibilities cover diagnosing issues, performing repairs, maintaining inventory, documenting work, and supporting site cleanliness. On-site duties will require a flexible schedule, including on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications required for certified technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
• Certifications required by state and local jurisdictions for all service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policy and code requirements.
• Execute make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and material management.
• Access and track materials, equipment, and tools from maintenance to ensure proper inventory and reporting.
• Complete documentation promptly to document and track service requests.
• Support grounds and amenities with cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist cost-control by repairing parts instead of replacing and using materials efficiently.
