Job summary

Franklin Group in District Heights, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our property buildings and grounds in good condition. You will diagnose problems and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliances.

You will respond to resident work orders, perform routine maintenance on vacant units, manage supplies, and uphold safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience accepted.
• HVAC certification preferred; CAMT recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification required within 1 day of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Respond to resident work orders and inform management after completion.
• Maintain daily upkeep of the community and vacant units before occupancy.
• Maintain and inventory supplies and tools for the property.
• Ensure work area and equipment are clean and safe.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Be available for on-call work as needed.
