Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's Lorain Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered for a PRN, as-needed role. The incumbent will perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and stress testing to evaluate cardiac function.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting findings in the EHR, and assisting with on-call assessments. Requires BLS and credentialing in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) with preferred 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology or related study (preferred).
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
