Job summary

EMBREY is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our San Antonio, TX properties. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in daily operations, perform preventive maintenance, and help keep buildings and amenities in top condition for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, performing HVAC checks during turnovers, and maintaining safe, clean grounds and units. On-call availability and a high standard of safety are required.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Possession of minimum tools required.
• Ability to be available “on call” 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• EPA or HVAC certification.
• CPO preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety Manual requirements.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices.
• Inspect and maintain property, buildings, and equipment.
• Assist in scheduling unit make-readies and service requests.
• Ensure grounds, buildings, and units are functional and safe.
• Inspect sites regularly and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Perform HVAC maintenance during apartment turns and inspect for issues.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
• Attend meetings and safety trainings.
• Complete other property-related tasks as assigned.
