Job summary

EMBREY is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Boerne, TX team. You will support a busy property management program, performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs to keep apartments and grounds safe and attractive.

You will manage unit turns, respond to service requests, and assist with HVAC tasks while following safety procedures and company policies. A valid driver’s license, EPA or HVAC certification, and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Possession of minimum tools required.
• Ability to be available“oncall”24hours a day,seven days a week.
• EPA or HVAC certification.
• CPO preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety Manual requirements.
• Assist in preventative maintenance, safety, and housekeeping practices.
• Inspect and maintain property, buildings, and equipment in safe condition.
• Organize and complete unit make-readies, service requests, and general maintenance tasks.
• Ensure grounds, buildings, and units are functional, safe, and attractive.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and units regularly.
• Address emergency conditions and notify supervisor/staff.
• Inspect HVAC units and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective clothing.
• Report hazards and correct them promptly.
• Maintain inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Attend meetings, training, and safety seminars.
• Handle other property-related tasks as assigned.
• Respond to requests promptly.
• Clean exterior grounds and pool area daily before 9:00 a.m.
