Job summary

EMBREY is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our San Antonio property management team. You will maintain buildings and amenity areas, support the Maintenance Supervisor, and address resident and staff needs with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety practices, unit turn-readies, grounds upkeep, and timely completion of tasks. The role requires on-call availability, adherence to safety procedures, and coordination with maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Possession of minimum tools required.
• Ability to be available on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• EPA or HVAC certification.
• CPO preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Safety Manual requirements.
• Assist in implementing preventative maintenance, safety, and housekeeping practices.
• Inspect and maintain the property, buildings, and equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Prepare unit make-readies and service requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure grounds, buildings, and units are functional, safe, and attractive.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and units regularly.
• Address emergencies and notify supervisor or manager.
• Inspect HVAC during apartment turns and maintain HVAC systems.
